Curcumin is usually an orange-yellow crystalline powder. At room temperature, it appears bright yellow with a slight earthy smell and is odorless. At normal pressure, the boiling point is approximately 418.73°C (rough estimate). Some data also show that at a pressure of 760mmHg, the boiling point is 591.4°C. Slightly soluble in water and slightly soluble in hot water; It is readily soluble in glacial acetic acid and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, ether and dichloromethane.
