Polyquaternium is a class of water-soluble cationic polymers with quaternary ammonium groups, including various models (such as Polyquaternium-10, Polyquaternium-7, etc.). It mostly appears as colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid or white powder, with excellent water solubility, film-forming property, antistatic property, antibacterial property and good biocompatibility. Its core application is in the cosmetics and personal care field. As a conditioner and antistatic agent, it is widely used in shampoos, conditioners and skin care products. It can adsorb on the surface of hair and skin, improve dry and frizzy hair, enhance softness, and at the same time soothe the skin and reduce static electricity. In the water treatment field, it is used as a flocculant and bactericide-algaecide, which can adsorb suspended particles in water and kill microorganisms, and is used in industrial wastewater and drinking water treatment. In addition, it is used as an antistatic finishing agent in the textile field to improve fabric hand feel; in the medical field, it is used as a drug carrier, and is a versatile functional cationic polymer material in multiple fields.
