AMBERLITE® IRA-400 (CL) is a macroporous strong basic (Type I) anion exchange resin, with CAS numbers including 60177-39-1 and 122560-63-8. It appears as pale yellow to white translucent beads, with quaternary ammonium functional groups and stable ion exchange capacity. Its core application is in the water treatment field, which can be used for water deionization, silica reduction and deoxygenation, suitable for the treatment of water essentially free of organic matter, and can also preconcentrate and recover Hg²⁺ ions from industrial wastewater. In the field of chromatographic separation, it can be used as a separation medium for thin-layer chromatography, paper chromatography, etc., and also for the separation of kanamycin A and B. In addition, it can be used as a phase-transfer catalyst in alcohol oxidation reactions, and also for impurity removal in the food industry and pharmaceutical field, making it an indispensable special ion exchange material in industrial separation and purification fields.
