Calcium Hypochlorite

Calcium hypochlorite is a white or grayish-white granular/powdery chemical with a strong chlorine odor. Product Usage

Calcium hypochlorite is a highly effective, broad-spectrum oxidizing biocide and bleaching agent. In water treatment, it is widely used for disinfection of swimming pools, drinking water, and industrial recirculating cooling water, effectively killing bacteria, viruses, and algae. In public health and livestock farming, it is commonly used for spray disinfection of hospitals, environmental surfaces, and animal housing, as well as for disinfecting aquaculture ponds. In the textile and paper industries, it is used as a bleaching agent for fabrics and a decolorizing agent for paper. Additionally, it is used for disinfecting tableware and kitchen utensils in homes and restaurants, as well as for cleaning food processing equipment. Its advantages include high available chlorine content, good stability, and low cost, but caution is required due to its strong corrosiveness and the risk of releasing toxic chlorine gas when in contact with acids.
