Iron Oxide Red

Iron oxides are produced synthetically and consist essentially of anhydrous and/or hydrated iron oxides.  The range of hues includesyellows, reds, browns and blacks.  Food quality iron oxides are primarily distinguished from technical grades by the comparatively low levels of contamination by other metals.

Product Usage

Iron Oxide Red is a high-performance inorganic red pigment with excellent lightfastness, weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and high hiding power. In the construction industry, it is widely used for coloring colored cement, colored paving bricks, roof tiles, and wall coatings, imparting a durable red hue to materials without fading or powdering. In the coatings industry, it is used in anti-rust paints, marine paints, and industrial protective coatings, not only providing decorative color but also enhancing the anti-corrosion properties of the coating film. In plastics and rubber, it is used to color various products such as agricultural films, pipes, and shoe soles, offering good dispersibility and thermal stability. Additionally, it plays important roles in ceramic glazes, inks, cosmetics (e.g., eyeshadows, blushes), and environmentally friendly colored sands. Its advantages include safety, non-toxicity, low cost, and excellent chemical stability.
